Owner, Operational Director

BCBA

Aubrey Pettyplace, MA, BCBA, a licensed behavior analyst in Michigan, founded Sonder Center for Neurodevelopment driven by a deep personal connection to the special needs community. Growing up with family members with disabilities, she witnessed firsthand the challenges they faced due to limited resources. These experiences ignited a passion within her, inspiring years of volunteer work with various non-profit organizations. Through this work, Aubrey gained invaluable insights, learning not only about the specific needs of individuals but also about the profound importance of compassion, empathy, and individualized support. These formative experiences shaped her approach to behavior analysis and fueled her desire to create a more supportive and understanding environment for individuals and families.

With over a decade of experience across all environments (clinical, in-home, community, and in schools), Aubrey and her team at Sonder understand that every individual’s unique narrative is valued and celebrated. They utilize the power of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to create personalized programs that address specific needs and goals. Their commitment to evidence-based practices and individualized support ensures that each client receives the highest quality care and recognizes their ability to grow and transcend current limitations.

Aubrey holds a master’s degree in applied behavior analysis from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Saginaw Valley State University. She is passionate about improving the quality of life for the individuals she serves, and their families. For Aubrey, a successful day as a behavior analyst is one where her clients feel safe, seen, heard, and understood.
